On 31st July 1994 That Day In The  Pages Of History Of Bihar, When Sheikhpura Separated From Munger And Found Its First Breath Of  Golden Existence.

It Became Not Just A Date But A Saga Of Struggle, Effort And Change.

 Emerging From The Shadow Of Munger And Creating Its Own Identity, This Small Area Turned A Big Dream Into Reality. 

It Was Not Just A Date, It Was The Victory Of Struggle, The Vision Of A Leader, And The Realization Of The Hopes Of An Entire Region. 

The Dream Of The Tireless Efforts Of The Then MLA Rajo Singh And The Decision Of Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Created History By Giving It The Status Of A District Together Made Sheikhpura A District. 

While Barbigha Was Dreamt Of Becoming A Sub Division, Sheikhopursarai Took Shape As A Separate Block.

On The Same Day, The Announcement Of The Formation Of Barbigha Subdivision Was Also Made, But The Tangled Threads Of Politics Prevented This Dream From Coming True.

 However, On The Same Day, A New Block Named Shekhopursarai Was Created By Cutting Off Some Part Of Barbigha.

 Sheikhpura, Which Is Today A Small Shining Star On The Map Of Bihar, Is Famous For Its Cultural And Historical Identity Despite Its Boundaries.

 Its Six Blocks Sheikhpura, Barbigha, Ariari, Chewada, Ghat Kusumbha And Shekhopursarai, And Its Two Assembly Constituencies Barbigha And Sheikhpura, Each Have Stories Of Uniqueness And Struggle.

 It Is Interesting That The Two Assembly Constituencies Have Different Lok Sabha Constituencies. 

While Barbigha Is A Part Of Nawada Lok Sabha Constituency, Sheikhpura Falls Under Jamui Lok Sabha Constituency.

Sheikhpura District,With Its Six Blocks And Two Assembly Constituencies, Is Unique In Its Diversity.

Though Divided Into Lok Sabha Constituencies, The Soul Of This District Is One.

But Understanding Sheikhpura Only From Its Geographical Or Administrative Aspects Would Be A Injustice To Its Soul.
